About CUHSD

Welcome to our Community

Welcome to our Community

We serve the communities of El Centro, Heber and Seely.  We currently serve 4100 high school students in 5 high schools and over 1500 adults in our Adult School.  Our roots go back to the early days of the Imperial Valley with the first school being established in 1908, our District namesake, Central Union High School.  Since then, the community has grown and we have added schools to meet the communities needs.  Today, we are replacing and updating our schools, and recently opened a new school to serve independent study students.  As we look to the future, we will add an aquatic center to Southwest High School, and prepare for a future 3rd high school in the coming decade.

Our mission: We each take responsibility for high expectations for students learning essential skills, and developing abilities, and knowledge by working collaboratively with our school community and providing a safe learning environment.
